S910 &
S710 styles format is SFF2 & older
models styles format is SFF1
The styles
in the S910 are a different format than
the S900 or older Yamaha models. Style
format for S910 (Indian Kit) is SFF2 and
Styles format for S900 (Arabic kit) is
SFF1. The style from the S900 should run
in the S910 ok.
S900 registration load into the S910 and
registration created in the S910 will
not work at all in the S900. However,
registrations created in the S900 will
work in the S910. The
newest Psr-S910
styles come in the same format as
the Tyros 3. With the introduction of
the Tyros3, Yamaha introduced a new
Style File Format (SFF2), which has been
continued on the S910/S710 and the
Tyros4. All the earlier keyboards used
the SFF1 format. The newer keyboards can
play both SFF1 and SFF2 styles.
Older keyboards can not play the newer
SFF2-based styles.

What is a
style file and how to use it?
1. Style files are
accompaniment arrangement (rhythm) in
Yamaha keyboards like PSR S910, S710 and
are not midi or mp3 files that play them
directly on a player.
2. Styles have to be
used by people who can play the keyboard
, but need accompaniment that is same as
their favorite Indian songs. Using
Yamaha standard accompaniments will make
the music artificial and not same as the
original Indian music"
3. Style files cannot be edited using
software such as Audacity or Anvil
Studio or any type of players or
editors. However, you can modify some
parts of the style parameters using
Yamaha keyboards such as PSR S910, S710
or PSR 3000 etc.

Note:- There are all possible style patterns
(variation) like A, B, C, D in each style. If there is one pattern
in a song then there will be one pattern in style. If there will be
two patterns in a song then there will be two patterns in a style
and so on. We cannot create a pattern in a style which is not
available in a song. A song with three antra may have one pattern or
three patterns. It depends upon different variations available in a
song.
